Activities and Events
The Topeka St. Andrew Society is more than eager to give her sons and daughters occasion to don the tartan.
The Society meets on the fourth Sunday of the even-numbered months (February, April, June, August and October) at Topeka’s 1st Congregational Church (17th and Collins) for a potluck lunch, presentation and fellowship.

January 11-13: Winter Storm Weekend, Kansas City
January 27: Lawrence (KS) Scottish Fest.
February 15: Royal Scots Dragoon Guards & the
Band of the Coldstream Guards, Lied Center, Lawrence, KS
February 17: TSAS Robert Burns Tea, 3 p.m.,
1st Congregational Church.
March 17: March in the Topeka St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
April 6: National Tartan Day and TSAS Pub Night.
April 27: TSAS meeting, 1 p.m., "Scottish Traditions & Customs," presented by Mark Roupe.
June 13-15: Kansas City Highland Games.
June 22: TSAS meeting, 1 p.m., "Books & Films About
Scotland," presented by Bob Lawson.
July 4: March in the Collins Park neighborhood parade.
August 24: TSAS meeting, 1 p.m., "Geneology Studies,"
presented by Larry Henderson.
September 4-7: Longs Peak Highland Festival,
Estes Park, CO.
September 27-28: McPherson (KS) Highland Games.
October 26: TSAS meeting, 1 p.m., "A Ghost Story,"
presented by George Paris.
November: annual Kirkin’ of the Tartan church service,
1st Congregational Church, date to be determined.
New Year’s Eve: Hogmanay, a traditional Scottish
celebration, location to be determined.
Wearing the kilt or tartan at Society meetings and events is not required, but it is highly encouraged. And of course, family members are welcome to attend any and all Topeka St. Andrew Society events.
