Activities and Events
The Topeka St. Andrew Society is more than eager to give her sons and daughters occasion to don the tartan.
The Society meets on the fourth Sunday of the even-numbered months (February, April, June, August and October) at Topeka’s 1st Congregational Church, 17th & Collins, for a potluck lunch, presentation and fellowship.

January 16-18: Winter Storm Weekend, Kansas City
January 25: Lawrence (KS) Scottish Fest, Lawrence Arts Center
February 23: Robert Burns Tea. Special 3 p.m. time.
April 26: TSAS meeting, 1 p.m. Program: "The Old Border
Reivers," Mark Roupe.
June 12-14: Kansas City Highland Games.
June 23: TSAS meeting, 1 p.m. Program: "The Scottish Diaspora,"
Bob Lawson.
July 4: March in the Collins Park neighborhood parade.
August 30: TSAS meeting, 1 p.m. Program: "Growing Up in
Wartime Scotland," Rosalie Smith and Margaret Gardiner.
September 10-19: Longs Peak Highland Festival, Estes Park, CO.
September 25-27: McPherson (KS) Highland Games. TSAS
members P/M Bill Read and Jack Williamson will be competing
with Topeka's own Kansas Territorial Pipes and Drums.
October 25: TSAS meeting, 1 p.m. Program: "Making the Golf Ball
Sail True," George Paris.
November: Annual Kirkin’ of the Tartan church service,
1st Congregational Church, date TBD.
December 31: Hogmanay, a traditional Scottish New Years Eve,
celebration, location to be determined.
Wearing the kilt or tartan at Society meetings and events is not required, but it is highly encouraged. And of course, family members are welcome to attend any and all Topeka St. Andrew Society events.
