Ceud mile failte!

From all of us with the Topeka St. Andrew Society, ceud mile failte! A hundred thousand welcomes!

The first St. Andrew Society was founded in London sometime during the reign of King James IV (1603-1625) to aid indigent Scots. Their motto was "Relieve the Distressed."

The first St. Andrew Society in America was established in Charleston, S.C., in 1729, as an organization that lent assistance to widows, orphans and others in need of help.

A little more recently, in 1977, the Topeka St. Andrew Society was established for those persons with a common interest in the history, culture and national character of Scotland and her sons and daughters.

Scotland is a nation of just over five million people, but over 80 million worldwide claim Scottish heritage. If you’re Scottish, or even if you just wish you were, you’re cordially invited to join the Topeka St. Andrew Society.
